Where here is the scoop up to this point.

In March 2006, the Vietnam adoption program officially reopened as the US and Vietnamese governments finally came to agreement on many political points (yes, politics stands in the way of the caring for children.)

In May 2006, Kristi, Lilli and I began the paperwork trail for this adoption. As veterans of the process, we found it much easier to navigate than we did the first time, so things ran smoother and quicker. We will be adopting a female, between the ages of 0 and 18 months.

In July 2006, Lilli began announcing that her sisters name was going to be...
Strawberry, Abby, Blossom, etc. Every couple days, a new name. Well by the beginning of September, Lilli kept saying that her sisters name was going to be Kate. Only this time it stuck, she would even say in her prayers, "please God protect our little Kate." Well mommy and daddy were quite sold on the name Kate. But the more we talked about it, the more we were drawn to the name Katelin. And after some prayer, we all agreed on the name Katelin (and Lilli could call her Kate.)

NO NEWS iS...NO NEWS
In October 2006, our paperwork arrived in Vietnam. From here the waiting game started. We expected about three to four months. However in November 2006, the director of the Vietnam program for the agency we are working through accidently mis-spoke and tld us that we should have our refferal by Thanksgiving. Well needless to say, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and January all came and went with out any news.

So here we are in February 2007, still waiting. We no it is in God's timing, but it still isn't easy to wait. Once we do get the referral we will actually travel to Vietnam 2-3 months after that.

So keep praying for the process, that God will bring His child to us.
